The idea of a “Red Carpet in the Woods” is a phrase with so much whimsy. “Two Sleepy People” is a film bouncing between dreams and reality, day and night—and so I set off to create a poster that plays in both realms.
Key points in the poster that reflect the “reality” of the event—Yosemite Falls in the background, outdoor lawn chairs, an Airstream, and a red carpet. It’s hosted at dawn...or dusk—a time between day and night that also takes advantage of the pink branding of the film’s marketing campaign. The floating, then, is the surreal experience—hosting a red carpet in the woods feels like some impossible dreamworld, no? And for a digital creator, coming from filming videos in a bedroom to on the big screen is its own sort of surreal, too.

Dinner menus
Carrying inspiration from the day-night theme, the illustration of Yosemite Falls on the menu cycles from dawn-day-dusk-night as the days progress.
📍 The Event
Creators received their goodies (and also their Internet Cinema Passport) in their Airstreams and posters decorated the walls.
