CHUNKS X NPR
Coming to a cute hairdo near you, NPR is collaborating with CHUNKS on a hair claw and set of hair clips! From audio clips to hair clips it’s CHUNKS x NPR.
NPR and CHUNKS teamed-up in an unexpected but delightful hair clip collaboration that celebrates storytellers, especially AAPI storytellers for AAPI Heritage Month. This also signifies the first of many collaborations NPR is pursuing as it innovates on its brand, feel, and look. The collaboration spanned hair clip creation, video interviews with models (who are NPR hosts, employees, and their family members), Q&As with models, a curated playlist, and webpage creation.
Clip designs were inspired by soundwaves and the bold and graphic shapes that are a part of NPR’s branding. Although NPR is an audio-first platform, I added playful sound effects and graphics to make the stories from the models engaging on social platforms and bring some Chunks whimsy to the NPR feed.
