THE NEW PUNKS
Their music is embued with the scrappiness and energy that reminded me so much of my youth. They sing about their cat Nino, dealing with bullies, and growing up. I leaned into jagged imprecise cuts, using stickers reminiscent to what I’d get for doing good on a school assignment, friendship bracelets, and holding everything together with the most powerful substance in the world — some sticky tape.
