“Day in the Life” subathon promotion
We started posting daily for a Subathon promoting our Substack newsletter. We’re seeing a jump in growth after sharing more about the team and work that goes into our magazine.
We garnered hundreds of submissions for our past two issues after promotions.
CHUNKS X NPR (Video Interviews)
The collaboration between hair claw company CHUNKS and NPR is what we called “unexpected”—what do we have to do with each other?
Stories. Our intention with this campaign was to connect NPR’s audio storytelling with CHUNKS’ quirky visual style. The videos interviewed the faces of the campaign, which included show hosts (Yowei, Emma), their family (Emma’s mom), and people behind the scenes (Wanyu and me!) and how they feel connected to their hair.
Although, of course, we promoted the claw alongside a miniature version of the Tiny Desk, too. A small accessory for a little desk.

My favorite detail: hiding seven Oscars trophies in the opening graphic for the seven statues the movie won.
☎️ Twenty-Five Calls for 2025
From Creator Mag, Issue Five
2025

Contributors: Cris Campos
We called 25 creators and asked them (1) “What was your greatest creative win of 2025?” and (2) “What’s the biggest learning you’re bringing into 2025?” These are their anwers — in print, on our socials, on our blog, and in video.
This campaign was part of our (re-)debut issue, and as a way to introduce the renewed magazine to the world, we sought to interview creative people in our circles to highlight the kinds of creators and creativity we as a magazine are interested in exploring. These calls, personally, were semi-intimate catch-up calls too, and we hoped to inspire viewers to pick up a phone and catch-up as one would in a time before social media.
In this *light* sort of collaboration, we spoke to people in lifestyle, art, sports, educational, photography, and writing spaces, all with a range of followings — but they’re all connected as introspective digital creatives. Maybe our readers would recognize them, maybe they wouldn’t, but this selection was also made to highlight how small the Internet makes the world out to be.
Design-wise, we used B/W photography to standardize the quality of photos we’d source from our creator roster. I found a blocky digital font reminiscent of the type you’d find on a Nokia. And because we caught up over the phone, visually, our videos were text and sound-forward, too.
