Moy Zhong is a Chinese American art director, designer, and storyteller from Missouri, now based in Seattle. She is the Art Director for The Publish Press by Colin & Samir. (Yes, this part’s written at the top)
Although much of Moy’s work is digital and will only live on the internet, she seeks to make work that humanizes online experiences. Working with creators, podcasters, videomakers, and digital natives, she seeks to close the distance that comes with art you can only interact with through a screen. She’s inspired by bright colors, grainy textures, sh*tty digital cameras, and scraps of paper. Her works are collages that feel nostalgic but contemporary.
Moy also grew up in newsrooms. She works on tight deadlines and is a versatile designer. She researches the topic of each of her projects in depth so her design decisions are intentional, informed, and feel authentic to target audiences. Yes, she’s an over-thinker, but if you’re nice, you’ll just say she’s “detail-oriented.”
