About Me — moy zhong

🌸 MOY ZHONG is a Chinese-American art director, print and digital designer, and illustrator from Missouri—now in Seattle. She currently designs for The Publish Press by Colin and Samir and Chunks. She’s designed for NPR, Creator Mag/Offline Mag, Creator Camp, and newsrooms run by the University of Missouri’s Journalism program.

Moy seeks to make work where design decisions are thoughtful and concepts collide. She specializes in mixing digital work with print ephemera. It’s funny: people say the Internet is forever, yet even “viral” moments blip by these days. In rebellion, Moy’s drawn to keepsakes like newspapers, magazines, ticket stubs and scraps of paper because they feel like they make memories last longer—if not evergreen. This is the kind of work Moy is excited about—how do we make moments feel like events again?

Moy’s work pulls from sh*tty cameras, tactile textures, confetti, and memories that linger. She overthinks, but if you’re nice, just call her “detail-oriented,” yeah?
